My Basic, but Effective, AI Prompt

If you’ve been rocking with me for this AI series, I’d love to know what you think! You can comment below or use the contact me page to reach out!

Part 1 and part 2 will help you understand the limitations but also how to use the tech while protecting your thoughts and feelings.

For this part 3, here’s a prompt I’m finding useful these days, feel free to use it or modify it however you’d like!

“I am working on [issue/project].
This is the main challenge I’m having: [biggest obstacle].
Here are the solutions I’m considering: [ideas/solutions].
What are the potential strengths of my plan?
What are the biggest weaknesses of my plan?
Are there alternative solutions should I consider instead?”

I’m loving this prompt because it challenges me to refine my question and creatively come up with solutions before the analysis stage. It keeps me from being limited by my own imagination, but it also keeps me from being limited by the “too perfect” suggestions of the system. If you use it, or something similar, tell me how it’s working for you.

Some Mid-2025 Conclusions on AI

NGL, I’m still extremely skeptical of this so-called “AI revolution” we’re in. I agree with the many concerned therapists who want you to remember: therapy isn’t just about what we say, but how you feel when another human cares about you.

Real, human therapy allows you to practice social skills like courage, verbal AND nonverbal communication, and trusting yourself to grow and find answers. Therapy for trauma involves facing confusion, fear, shame, and anger, and still receiving care, affirmation, and support. A big part of treatment for therapists is being supported and understood by a community member who experiences these intense feelings just like you do.

Therapy is care for your thoughts and your feelings, therapy is an experience, therapy is much more than a conversation.

Therapy with me involves customized, individual perspective influenced by research. It’s a flexible structure that can bend to your specific needs. We aren’t limited by what the “average” person needs or what the insurance company puts in a handbook. Instead, you’ll get to be creative, get clear about yourself, and learn new ways to address your needs in this changing world. You can send me a message here if you’re ready to get to it!
